Grace Bosworth is a Junior at the University, studying Communication Studies not only through the College of Communications. Grace studied abroad in Ireland through CMST and through an independent study with department head, Dr. Haas. Through the 2019 CMST study abroad Grace learned organizational skills through communication, immersed herself into the beautiful culture of Ireland, and learned the art of bog jumping! Grace’s independent study is performing public speaking techniques and examples to teach correct public speaking skills through electronic video examples.

Jonathan Johnson is graduating second in his class this December with a major in Communication Studies and a minor in Political Science. He is from Sevierville, TN and always dreamed of being a Volunteer. He went on two trips to Washington DC with the Communication Studies, where he later called home during a summer internship with the United States Congress. For the last three years, Jonathan has also interned for Vol Sports which has given him the chance to combine his passion for communication and athletics. After graduation he plans to pursue a career in social media and sports.

Gabi was born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee and graduated from Bearden High School. She is a Phi Mu sister here at UT. Gabi has always enjoyed working with and helping others and she feels that Communication Studies has allowed her to do that.

Brooke started her collegiate career majoring in Audiology and Speech Pathology, but after beginning employment at Anthropologie her junior year, she began to realize her passions were found elsewhere, in people, fashion, writing, and relationships. Andrew Bowers graduated from the College of Communication & Information with a major in Communication Studies. While here, he gained a multitude of experience within marketing and especially social media. His senior year he interned in the Tennessee Athletics Media Relations department, specifically with social media for the men’s basketball program, and football program, which lead him to where he is today.

After graduating from the University of Tennessee in 2012, Chelsea Ivens moved to Washington, D.C. to begin a career in the political sphere. Her experience on Capitol Hill began with an internship in U.S. Congressman Phil Roe’s office, where she received a behind-the-scenes look into the nation’s political nucleus. This internship launched Chelsea into the world of public policy and federal government.
In 2013, Chelsea eagerly accepted her first job working for U.S. Congressman Marsha Blackburn of the 7th Congressional District of Tennessee.
