Student Spotlight – Maura Lamb
Maura Lamb was born and raised in Knoxville,TN.
She attended Milligan College in Johnson City,TN her freshman year, then transferred to UT Sophomore year. She worked at Chick-fil-A for 7 years (started at the age of 14) where she was a supervisor and marketing team member. “What I love about UT is that it is home to me, so close to my best friends growing up, and there are so many networking opportunities. The professors in CMST are always supportive. Coming to UT as a sophomore, I wasn’t sure what career i wanted to pursue. Once I found that i loved communicating with different types of people through media and face to face I got connected with the CMST community. My goal is to make companies better in their public relations aspects. At the moment, after planning my own wedding, I fell in love with the whole process of wedding planning. Currently, I have my own wedding business service, and I hope to grow my opportunities and networks to be able to work full time with this. In my free time, I love to exercise, spend time with my husband, go on long walks, blog, and be with my friends and family.”
