Ryan comes from a diverse background of corporate and educational experience. From working in media advertising and internet marketing to secondary education and forensics coaching, he has followed his interests in brand management and communication education from his roots at Illinois State University. He moved into teaching in higher education while completing his master’s at Central Michigan University and has been teaching for Mid Michigan College since 2016. Ryan brings a passion for public speaking to Rocky Top, as well as love for the performing arts, reading, hiking, and photography. He is joined by his wife, Elizabeth (also in Communication Studies), and their two boys here in Knoxville.
