During her undergraduate career, Kristin Haun realized she had a passion both for the field of psychology and the field of communication studies. Her passion stemmed from her own experiences with anxiety in the realm of public speaking. Because of her experiences, her master’s thesis focused on public speaking anxiety and communication competence. During her years at the university, she has taught a range of classes with her primary focus being on close relationships and business and professional communication.
Her ultimate goal is to help students succeed both inside and outside of the classroom; and to feel more confident upon entering the business world. She devotes part of her classes to those who experience high levels of public speaking anxiety to help them lessen this fear and become more confident speakers. She also teaches multiple online classes in which her goal is to create a more engaging online class for those that prefer online instruction.
