Cathy J. Cuevas has served in her role as a lecturer at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, since the fall of 2012. Her teaching is informed by her extensive background in student affairs and student development. Her goal is to help all students grow in their communication abilities, contributing to their overall success at the university and beyond. She teaches CMST 210 Public Speaking, and CMST 217 Honors Public Speaking. 

Cuevas has earned degrees in interpersonal communication and higher education from Florida State University. She is currently a candidate for a PhD in higher education administration at the UT.
