Anna Franklin

Anna Franklin is a lecturer in the School of Communication Studies. Her teaching experience includes CMST 210 Public Speaking and UNHO 101 Disaster Preparedness and Communication. Franklin’s research interests are an interdisciplinary mix of communication and emergency management. These include language use in written emergency broadcasts, the relationship between risk perceptions/knowledge and emergency preparedness, how communication from close social networks affects risk personalization, and the relationship between group identity and risk personalization.
