Student Spotlight-Grace Bosworth
Grace Bosworth is a Junior at the University, studying Communication Studies not only through the College of Communications. Grace studied abroad in Ireland through CMST and through an independent study with department head, Dr. Haas. Through the 2019 CMST study abroad Grace learned organizational skills through communication, immersed herself into the beautiful culture of Ireland, and learned the art of bog jumping! Grace’s independent study is performing public speaking techniques and examples to teach correct public speaking skills through electronic video examples.
Student Spotlight-Jonathan Johnson
Jonathan Johnson is graduating second in his class this December with a major in Communication Studies and a minor in Political Science. He is from Sevierville, TN and always dreamed of being a Volunteer. He went on two trips to Washington DC with the Communication Studies, where he later called home during a summer internship with the United States Congress. For the last three years, Jonathan has also interned for Vol Sports which has given him the chance to combine his passion for communication and athletics. After graduation he plans to pursue a career in social media and sports.

Gabi was born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee and graduated from Bearden High School. She is a Phi Mu sister here at UT. Gabi has always enjoyed working with and helping others and she feels that Communication Studies has allowed her to do that.

Ashley is a Tennessee native – growing up in Dandridge, a small-town east of Knoxville.
Ashley graduated from the University of Tennessee in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies. During college, she served as Communication Studies Club Secretary and Membership Chair for College Republicans.

Born and raised right here in Knoxville, Brooke Houser graduated from CAK! Brooke started her collegiate career majoring in Audiology and Speech Pathology, but after beginning employment at Anthropologie her junior year, she began to realize her passions were found elsewhere, in people, fashion, writing, and relationships.
